Turn Pressure — dive gas planner
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Turn Pressure collects nothing about you. This document exists because Apple requires every app to have one (App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(i)), and to say exactly where the little the app keeps is kept.
What is collected
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party code of any kind in this app. Nothing you enter reaches the app's author.
iCloud
From version 1.9, if your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, the app keeps your divers and your saved briefs in your own iCloud as well as on the phone, using Apple's CloudKit in your private database. It needs no sign-in inside the app: it uses the Apple Account your iPhone is already signed in to. Your divers are shared with the other Diver.Today apps you use on the same Apple Account — Time to Surface, for one — so a buddy added in one app appears in the others. Your briefs go only to your other iPhones. Only you can read your private iCloud database; neither the app's author nor any other Apple Account can. Not signed in to iCloud, the app works exactly as before, on the phone alone.
Nothing else uses the network.
What is stored, and where
- Your divers and their SCR — the people you plan for, the breathing rates you have entered or worked out from your own dives, and the dates those figures were recorded. On the phone and in your iCloud.
- Your saved briefs — the depth, gas strategy, ascent profile and conditions for dives you do often, under whatever names you gave them. On the phone and in your iCloud.
- Your last setup — the cylinder, mix and starting pressure you last planned with, so the app opens where you left it. On the phone only.
- Your settings — units, conservatism and condition multipliers. On the phone only.
The phone's copy is a file inside the app's own storage on your iPhone, included in your device backup.
Deleting it
Delete a diver or a brief in the app and it goes from every device and app it was shared with. Deleting the app removes the phone's copy; what is in your iCloud stays there until you delete it, in your iPhone's Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage, or by deleting the diver or brief in any of the apps.
Children
The app is a dive planning tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version appears here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new disclosure.
