Weights Check — diver weighting library
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Weights Check collects nothing. This document exists because Apple requires every app to have one (App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(i)), not because there is much to disclose.
What is collected
Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party code of any kind in this app.
iCloud
When your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, your library is kept in step with your own private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit, in the container shared by the Diver.Today apps (iCloud.net.ismailov.divertoday). That is how it reaches your other devices, and how our other apps — Dive log, for one — can show a configuration you pick there. When you link a dive to a configuration in Dive log, Dive log writes the dive's date and start time, site name, deepest depth and duration to the same place, and this app shows them on that configuration; it only reads them. It is stored by Apple under your Apple Account; we have no access to it and run no server. Signed out of iCloud, the app works exactly the same on the one iPhone. The app makes no other network requests. The Diver.Today apps share this container; the whole family's statement is at diver.today/privacy.
What is stored, and where
- Your equipment library — the cylinders, suits, regulators, wings and stages you have entered, with the names, masses and notes you gave them.
- Your configurations — the rigs you have built from that library, the lead fitted to each and where it sits, the water they are for, and your warning threshold.
- Your recorded weight checks — the date, the water, the rig, the pressure you had left, the lead you carried and whatever you wrote about how it went.
- Dives linked in Dive log — when you use Dive log and link a dive to a configuration, its date, site, deepest depth and duration, read from your iCloud and shown on that configuration. Weights Check never changes them.
- Your deleted items — gear and configurations you remove wait in a trash bin on the phone, so a deletion can be undone before the app clears them.
- Your settings — units, and the body figures you chose to give: your weight, height and sex. These are used only to work out a starting estimate and to carry a recorded check into different water. With iCloud they go to your own iCloud with the rest of your library, and nowhere else.
All of it is written inside the app's own storage on your iPhone, and — when you are signed in to iCloud — in your private iCloud database as described above. It is also included in your device backup.
Deleting it
Anything you delete in the app waits in Settings › Recently deleted until you clear it out yourself. Nothing empties itself on a timer: restore an item from there, delete one for good, or empty the whole section in one action. Deleting the app removes what it stored on the iPhone. Your iCloud copy stays under your Apple Account until you remove it in the Settings app (your name › iCloud › Manage Storage), and your device backup is Apple's too. Nothing is ever sent to us either way.
Children
The app is a dive record-keeping tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version appears here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new disclosure.
